40 Days and 40 Nights
Life or Something Like It
Mr. Deeds

3 Movies in a row sure isn’t a record for me but it still was quite a long watch ;) I enjoy watching several movies in a row but I realise my problems to not mix up the story-lines or to expect funny moments during a thriller ;) These movies weren’t MUST-SEES but still were nice to watch. Each of them had a nice concept and it sure filled up my Sunday nicely :)

What else is going on? I’m thinking of moving out of my rented room at an Indian family overhere and move to the campus of NTU to be closer to my work and save on a lot of trouble. Anything more? Well, for the time being, not really, but I saw a couple of things I wouldnt mind buying as soon as I got some extra cash! For now, I’ll have to do with looking at the pictures and dream about the money that will someday be in my wallet ;)

I’m currently still waiting for my Employment Pass to be settled but there seems to be some progress! I heard from the HR person last week, that it has been approved by the government and they issued me the letter, BUT the HR department of the university needs to settle some paperwork first. Let me give them a call again tomorrow!

Now I’ve got a few more things to do before I can go to sleep so blog you later! :)

S1m0ne A new show starring

S1m0ne

A new show starring Al Pacino as a failed director, using latest computer technology to create a virtual actress called Simone, or Sim(ulation) One actually. The woman who appears to be perfect in this movie however, is not made out of bits and bytes but out of real flesh and blood! Her name is Rachel Roberts and she was born in the same year as my girflriend: 1978, in Vancouver.

The movie itself is pretty funny, however the good old “technology bugs” made it a bit of a crackdown. Who thought a guy with NO knowledge of computers at all, could create a complete computer-setup on his own with customized buttons, a grande database containing pretty much EVERY movie, picture and voice of each actress in the world would be possible? This and probably the “Let me use this 5.25inch disk to break down her VR-identity into loose pixels with the virus on this disk called by some stupid name ENDING WITH ‘VERSION 8.1′!!!!!!?!?!?” made me crack up quite a bit and say “Geesh, this is too stupid!”. Nevertheless, a good piece of entertainment and good enough for 2 hours of time-wasting ;) Go check it out!

Three games for you to try out, that certainly are a blast to play:

Ofcourse, not only games but also some funny facts:

It’s been a while since I’ve updated with something new, so it’s time for a quicky message! Nothing much has been going on, besides the fact that I’m growing a goatey or how to spell it anyways ;)

Just to keep you guys busy for another few days until I get a chance to update some more, here’s a small little game I just found :P Check it out! Pretty darn silly!

XXX Wohooo! We almost missed

XXX

Wohooo! We almost missed out on watching the show XXX today but luckily we still made it! Eventhough we were about 10-15 mins late, we were running into the movie-theatre with our large combo of Coca Cola and sweet popcorn finding our way to the seats. Around us were several people who had already found their way about 15 minutes earlier, like we should’ve as well :) If it weren’t for my clumsy shoe-lace-tying and a couple of red traffic-lights, we might’ve been able to make it, but ah well.. Will watch that first few minutes (15 minutes minus commercials, trailers and safety-warnings) on the VCD that is here in the cupboard ;)

It surely was a great show to watch, because it was a typical spy-movie but yet slightly different. No fancy tuxedo’s and slick spies but enough groovy gadgets, explosive action and beautiful wom.. erm, cars! Amazing! :P A good vote of 8/10 was just submitted and ofcourse I quickly updated my movie-list in the bottom-right of this page.. My apologies to the rest of the authors for still not finishing up the scripts! I will do my best next weekend ok? Really am caught up with some things at work right now..

That reminds me that I should get my daily beauty-nap or I’ll look and act like a real zombie tomorrow! Niters all!

James and the Giant Peach

Ok, it’s no XXX but it was a peachy movie to watch ;) Naah, just kidding ya :) I’ve once again decided to postpone watching XXX for one more day. Tomorrow-night I will hopefully be watching this long anticipated show :P Oh, and I just saw that The Bourne Identity has been placed into “Sneak-Preview” mode here in Singapore, so I hope to be watching that one soon as well! Looks like a great show to watch! Really!

Nothing much on my to-do list for the past few days, but to work a bit on my Word2HTML converting of my Grid Technology school report. I need to get it up on the website I am supposed to build for my boss, so I’d better put some hurry behind that.. Been postponing it way too long already! Also, ofcourse I’ve been downloading my fair share of Soundtracks! :) Will try and build a small “archive” webpage for my movie-votes and my soundtracks online soon! Want to do it by scripting ofcourse but don’t really have the time yet to do so.. So you’ll just have to wait for a while more..

What else? Yeah! I’ve been making myself go crazy the past 3 days by watching pretty much EVERY freakin episode of Futurama, my favorite cartoon series :) Today I didn’t watch too many, but by the fact that I am now around Season 3, Episode 10, you should know how many I’ve watched the past 3 days :P Well, I had watched some already, so skipped those, but still got a few more to go! About 12 or so :) Wish me luck! May the fry be with you! And for Darkwing: FEAST YOUR EYES ON THIS!! :P

Last but not least, I finished reading my book today! It is a book written by Michael Crichton, called Travels. It is a very inspiring book about his life and the things he learned during the many travels in both the normal as the spiritual world. Personally I am a great fan of traveling and am very interested in spiritual experiences, so this book was perfect for me! Thank you Michael for getting me back to reading! I hadn’t read a book in years and now realised how much I actually missed doing so.. It is a way to relax your mind for a bit and feel you’re actually away from your daily life for a bit: Just like when you’re “traveling“!

Now I’m off to bed but first off those contacts and wash my face ;) Nitey y’all ;)

I just heard that I

I just heard that I will be getting a payrise of $100 a month :) Wohooo! Always good to get extra cash! :) And that should make my Employment Pass application a hell lot easier as well! :) Will keep you updated about that!

I just found a new addiction for myself.. Or actually, it is more like an attack of my “Packrat syndrome”. Ok, let me first tell you what “Packrat syndrome” is. It’s this problem that people have where they HAVE to collect something. Some people start collecting stamps or tea-bags, others start collecting comics, movies, cds or things like that. Well, I’ve done them all except for the tea-bags :P I’ve collected key-chains, pens, old magazines, comics, movies, video-cds, cdroms, mp3’s, animal stamps, foreign currency, old computer games, movie posters, movie cards (still undergoing that one), bottle caps, plastic bags, hardcore flyers, oh and I could go on for a while more :P But now I’ve got a new one.. It’s a combination of a few things: movies and mp3’s :) And they are….. OST’s or Original Sound Tracks. I thought it would be wonderful to have a whole collection of Soundtracks for movies that I loved watching. And so here I am, expanding my collection of cd’s with Soundtracks in mp3 :) Wish me luck! *gee* hehe :)

What else? Oh yeah, I have watched “Walk to Remember” again a couple of days back since my girlfriend didnt get a chance to watch it yet. So we watched it together on the laptop. It still is a nice movie, eventhough you start seeing “gaps” in the storyline or find certain remarks to become corny :) Still was nice to watch :)

I’ve been bugging my girl for several weeks already that I want to go and watch XXX starring Vin Diesel but yet, we have still gone to watch other (sometimes even more crappy) shows :) So I told myself that TOMORROW is the day that I will go watch that show!

That reminds me.. It is ALREADY tomorrow here in Singapore! It’s close to 2AM and I think that’s the time for me to hit the hay! Last nite it was 4AM and I wasn’t planning to go there again! So, thanks for all your posts peeps! Glad to see we’re in this together! Keep them coming! Goodnite!

Time for me to post

Time for me to post a message again as well :) First of all, Rehana is deeply hurt that nobody has responded to her post yet! The same goes for me! Nobody has been writing much on the blog besides me, ME, MEEEEEEEE!!! :P Ok, ok.. Not deeply hurt.. Just disappointed… Come on peepz, even though you’re busy, I’m sure you can make a few minutes free to post a message..

I have been working slightly more on my script but am still working out a few difficulties. Will keep you all posted about that!

Many more things been going on lately! I have been trying to extend my social visit pass, but due to the fact that my Employment Pass application was rejected (reason: too little salary), they could not extend it in the normal way. I therefore had to go down to another department of Singapore Immigration Registration and apply for the standard tourist Social Visit Pass, which I received today. I am now a legal immigrant for the upcoming two weeks ;) *yay!* More yay is the fact that I will get a pay-rise before I actually start working :) *yay some more!* :P

What else? Oh yeah! Tomorrow I have to attend a meeting on a Portal Service and later that day give a basic introduction into Sun Grid Engine for a bunch of British students.

No much news for now! Watched a couple of movies, but no time to do the usual review for now!

Anyways, thanx for the post girl :) I agree with you.. But more general I agree with the fact that we should show our appreciation to the people around us.. We tend to forget to say “Thank you” or “Good job”.. It truly makes somebody’s day when you tell them you respect and appreciate them..

Now i should go, coz I see flashing in front of my eyes.. Usually a sign of a migrain. I really cant have that now! Blog you later!
