Due to some people thinking that its fun to spam other people’s blogs rather than putting effort into something more fascinating and less disdurbing than spam, I have been forced to use MT-Blacklist to protect my website against any further spamming activities. If you receive any notification that your comment could not be posted and you believe this happened in error, please dont hestitate to email me! Blog ya later!
And the new year is coming in a few more days and I havent even been posting at all over the past weeks! So many things came up.. My sister came to Singapore for her holidays and I’ve been out practically every day taking her to the tourist spots of Singapore. Pretty darn tiring I tell ya! But its for the good ofcourse
I enjoy doing so, but every now and then you’re glad to be able to sit down and check your emails, watch tv or update your records of stuff.. But for the time being.. NOT YET!
Christmas in the tropics is still a thing I have to get used to and fake snow didnt contribute to that
We had a lovely dinner with my old land-lady and exchanged a few gifts.. For christmas, we made a nice greeting card and both my gf and myself put in quite a share of effort to making it look nice.
Then a few days ago we decided to go for “Foot Reflexology”, a Chinese medication where they massage your feet and legs and make them feel light as a bird. For an hour I did, but apparently the cream was infected with some bacteria, causing my whole legs to be covered in itchy, painful, swollen and infected spots making it difficult to sleep, walk, sit or lie down. It’s frustrating and will probably take another few days to cure too! Lucky me eh?
Well, for now I’d better get my backside in front of the tv or I’m missing out on another night of relaxing so with the new year coming up soon, I hope I can fulfill my new year’s resolution: blog more!
So.. Blog ya later!
It seems that Mr Stupid has been changed into Mr Lucky as he was happily reunited with his bags (and laptop, and camera, and pocket-pc AND dirty laundry) after the driver finished his “break fast” at a nearby food-place. Life is good when people are good too
Short version: Mr Stupid got lucky..
Mr Stupid (aka myself) just returned back to Singapore from a business trip to Kuala Lumpur. At disembarkation of the taxi, he was wise enough to leave his personal belongings in the trunk/boot of the taxi, therefore getting rid of not only dirty laundry, but also his Pocket Loox, his Camera, his Laptop and several other things that are very dear to him.
With a fair share of luck and honest motivation of the taxi-driver he should hopefully be reunited with his belongings shortly. We will keep you posted!
Since I will be out of town for a couple of days (coming back on Wednesday 12th) I might not be able to post much so bear with me and blog ya later! I will be in Kuala Lumpur and Penang again! Ciao!
I’ve been doing the works today.. Go through a logfile and see what is the cause of most of my bandwidth problems lately. Well, some of them I could figure out myself, but a big bandwidth hogger was external hot-linking to my images! People would use the IMG tag and link to MY files rather than downloading them and hosting them on their own website! Yeps, saves plenty of space but also costs me hands-full of bandwidth! So, I’ve changed things a bit. The policy now only allows my own website to link to the files on my server! If you want to host it yourself, go ahead and download it..
Also, I’ve noticed there’s a few things that I still need to work on:
- Reduce overall size of website
- Improve code to enable Mozilla browsers
- Allow user uploads and recommendations
- Reduce size of background images
- Move photo’s to external server
- Move Movie Collection to external server
- Include support for IMDb Vote List upload
- Allow other authors to submit their Movie Collection
- Include favicon.ico
- Include robots.txt
- Move some files to external server
- Fix some errors in older posts
- Create subjects for older posts
- Allow use of “category icon” and “author icon” for new posts
- Create Links page
- Create About page
- Fix some .html and .php incoherencies
- Clean up old files
Guess that’s it for now. If I’ve missed some, let me know

It’s been pretty darn busy the past few days and ofcourse the fasting doesnt help in feeling energy to do anything, which results into very few posts the past while. Everyone is sticking through the fasting month without too much trouble though! Every morning at 4:40AM I will wake up Raymond and Rehana by giving them a phonecall to get up for breakfast
Then at 5:17AM we all go back to sleep. I wonder how things will go when I’m traveling.. Will the hotel provide any good breakfast? How will I see without my contacts? Well, I guess Thursday is moment supreme as I will be going to Kuala Lumpur for the day. I will be back on Friday already but leaving once again on the Monday after that to return on Wednesday! So if you don’t see many posts from me, bear with me ok? As for the fellow bloggers, come on peepz.. Help me out here!

Today, 27th October 2003, the fasting month has started for all Muslims in the world, as also for myself. This means that we cannot eat, cannot drink, no smoking and no indecent thoughts or actions from dusk till dawn. In Singapore this means from 5.18AM till 6:52PM we were unable to munch on a cookie or zip a bit of water. However, things seem worse than they actually are. Most Muslims are rather used to the fact and can stand the day without these consumptions. As you can imagine, probably the worst is not being able to drink. But hey, we survived our first day and before you know it, the month of Hari Raya Puasa, or the Celebration Month after fasting is once again over.
So, wish us luck (Raymond, Rehana and myself) for the days to come!
A very lucky day indeed! Quick access to the Internet at the UKM university in Kuala Lumpur just before my flight to Penang tonight! I am uncertain whether I will have the opportunity to go online tonight at the hotel but you all will notice when there’s some posts coming up from me
I had a very scary experience this morning, when my worst nightmare came true! I dreamt several times that I would arrive late at the airport and luckily it never happened to me! Last night I set my alarm late at night (around 1am) to get up at 4:30am this morning. Unfortunately my alarm never rang because I never actually SET the alarm! So stupid!! So this morning, the auntie of my house banged the door saying: Hey! Don’t you want to get up? It’s 5:30 already! Before I noticed, I was already on my way to the airport by 5:55 and I jumped on the middle of the road to get a taxi that was about to turn.. I was so darn lucky to get the fastest type of cabs in Singapore (the driver told me) and he was willing to go with 140km/hr to the airport and guess what..? When I arrived at the airport, my project leader said: Hey, dont worry! I’m at the check-in counter now as well. I never come too early! Half an hour before your flight (which was at 7:50) is ok! Anyways, I never got to the airport thissss fast! Normally, about 35 mins, this time: under 20 mins!
And I was in time for my flight!
Now I’d better get ready for my next flight to Penang, or I’m gonna be in a rush again! Sooo, blog ya later!
